Other ways to support
Appreciated Stock
If you have appreciated stocks you are looking to sell, consider donating them to HC3. Donating appreciated stocks will increase the value of your gift by minimizing the capital gains tax. You will also become eligible for an immediate income tax deduction.
Donor Advised Funds
Similar to a family foundation but with less administrative responsibilities and costs, a donor-advised fund allows a donor to take the tax deduction at the time of their choosing and give to their charities of choice whenever they’d like.
IRA or Retirement Plan Beneficiary
It is simple to name HC3 as beneficiary of all or a percentage of your IRA or company retirement plan.

ReFUND CO
If you receive a state income tax refund in 2020, you will have a new opportunity to donate some or all of your refund to support the High Country Conservation Center. Donating a portion of your tax refund is simple: Enter High Country Conservation Center and our registration number 20023005525 in the [Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund] line on your state income tax return or tax software – or give this info to your tax preparer when you submit your tax documents.
Snow Huggers Club

Alpine Bank Environment Loyalty Debit Card
Alpine Bank’s Loyalty Debit Card program began in 1997 and is an innovative way for you to give back to our community. Each time you use your Environment Alpine Bank Loyalty Debit Card, Alpine Bank donates 10 cents to the High Country Conservation Center. These special cards are available with no annual fee to individuals with an Alpine Bank checking account.

The High Country Conservation Center (HC3) is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. We have developed this privacy policy to ensure our donors that donor information will not be shared with any third party.
Awareness
HC3 provides this Donor Privacy Policy to make you aware of our privacy policy, and to inform you of the way your information is used. We also provide you with the opportunity to remove your name from our mailing list, if you desire to do so.
Information Collected
Here are the types of donor information that we collect and maintain:
- Contact Information – name, complete address, phone number, email address, employer information
- Payment information – credit card number and expiration date, and billing information
- Giving information – history of gifts made to HC3, dates and purposes
- Information concerning how you heard about HC3
- Information you wish to share – questions, comments, suggestions and other information that you share with us related to your interest in our organization
- Your request to receive periodic updates – e.g., to individuals who request it, we will send periodic mailings related to specific fundraising appeals, newsletters and other materials
How Information is Used
HC3 uses your information to understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a transaction, communicate back to you and update you on the work of HC3. Credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained for other purposes. We use the comments you offer to provide you with information requested, and we take seriously each recommendation as to how we might improve communication.
No Sharing of Personal Information
HC3 will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to other organizations. We assure you that the identity of all our donors will be kept confidential. Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of HC3 and only to further the activities and purposes of HC3.
