Christmas Trees
When the celebration is over, drop off your real Christmas tree for free at any of these locations. All ornaments, tinsel, lights, must be removed. Natural wreaths without ribbons/wires are accepted.
Drop Off Locations
The Town of Breckenridge: Stilson Lot (off of Stables Rd near the Wellington neighborhood). Trees are accepted through January 31 to be used during the annual Ullr Bonfire.
The Town of Dillon: Dillon Amphitheatre Parking Lot (next to the Marina Park Playground). Trees are accepted through January 31 to be made into High Country Compost.
The Town of Frisco: Frisco Bay Marina dirt lot (behind Uncle John’s Farm Stand and at the southeast corner of Summit Blvd. and Main St). Trees accepted from December 26th until 4pm on February 8th to be burned at the Spontaneous Combustion Bonfire.
Town of Silverthorne: TBD
The Summit County Resource Allocation Park: 639 Landfill Rd, Keystone. Trees are accepted after Christmas through January 31st, free of charge during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, and Saturday, 7 am to 12 pm. Trees will be chipped and made into High Country Compost.
Yard Waste/Slash
You can bring your slash and yard waste to the SCRAP for composting. Contaminated loads will be charged at the loose trash rate, along with applicable surcharges and additional hauling fees.

Yard Waste Including Leaves & Grass Clippings $31/ton (minimum $10)
* No dirt, rocks, bags, noxious weeds, dog waste, sod, wood or slash accepted in this material.
Wood Slash $12/ton (minimum $10)
Wood Stump $35/ton (minimum $15)
Wood Chips $5/ton (2 in. max diameter, minimum $5)
