The Summit County Justice Center is enthusiastically implementing a new and improved recycling program within its facilities. 

Improvements made:

• Revamped and improved recycling program by adding new bins, labels, and signage
• Added food scrap recycling and began composting food waste from jail meals

“The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to the global mission of reducing, reusing, and recycling.  With the collaborative efforts from High Country Conservation Center, the Sheriff’s Office, Summit County Justice Center, and the Summit County Detention Facility divert a large quantity of recyclable and compostable material from ending up in our landfill.  We are thankful for the partnership with HC3, and for the opportunity to keep Summit County green!”
