Megan joined the HC3 team in August of 2022 as the Marketing and Fundraiser Coordinator. Growing up in Minnesota on the Mississippi River, Megan loved what the outdoors offered. As a river rat from a young age, her family introduced her to caring for and protecting our outdoor spaces. With a passion for always connecting people with nature, Megan pursued a degree from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire in Environmental Communication. This brought her out to Colorado, and she worked on the Sustainability team at Copper Mountain Resort. She has also worked as an Interpretive Park Ranger in the depths of the temperate Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park. You can find Megan teaching yoga in Leadville and practicing honoring our three homes as our bodies, mind, and the earth. Passions of Megan’s include identifying plants and mushrooms. Activities such as snowboarding, backpacking, paddleboarding, rock climbing, and mountain biking. On the less injury-prone side of things, or so you may think knitting and baking.
