Compost Giveaway Event
HC3 and the SCRAP are offering free compost to participants in the Food Scrap Program. This is a bring-your-own-bucket (or bag) event and we need volunteers to answer questions and help residents shovel compost on Friday, May 30th.
Please bring work gloves, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and water. Volunteers are needed for the entire shift.

Annual Hard To Recycle Event
Summit County is holding its annual Recycling Event on Saturday, May 31st from 8am-2pm. High Country Conservation Center will be helping residents properly dispose of their electronics, paint, clothing and other hard-to-recycle items.
Duties may include directing traffic, removing electronics and other items from vehicles, and general event support. Breakfast burritos and coffee will be provided.

Thank you to all our volunteers. Passionate individuals like YOU are critical to our success. Volunteers are needed throughout the year at HC3’s annual events. We urge you to join our network of over 300 volunteers to stay informed on future volunteer opportunities. We accept inquiries for individual and group volunteering, as well as community service. We are happy to accept assistance in your personal area of expertise.

Zero Waste Ambassadors are in-the-know recycling experts who share their knowledge with family, friends, and neighbors. Ambassadors help educate the public and advocate for sustainability. You’ll get first dibs on our most-fun recycling projects and you’ll help our community become leaders in zero waste.
