While growing up in Kyiv Ukraine, family trips to Summit County planted the seed early on about the Colorado lifestyle. Andrii moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado – Boulder where he obtained a B.S. in Geography and Environmental Studies with a focus on Hydrology. After a year of working in Breckenridge he moved back to Europe to attend the University of Copenhagen, where he obtained a Masters in Disaster Management. Even when on the other side of the Atlantic, he still heard the Rocky Mountains calling, so after graduating he decided to return to Summit County in 2017. Once back he worked for the Town of Breckenridge water department and helped build the local artisan company of Breck Coffee Roasters. He is excited to return to the world of sustainability by joining the HC3 team and be a contributing force in making our community not only a special one but resilient for decades to come. When he’s not working you can catch him backcountry skiing, backpacking, making art from old coffee burlaps, watching the world champions Denver Nuggets or in the kitchen whipping up a storm.
