Jess Hoover joined the HC3 staff in May 2016 as the Programs Manager. Jess is no stranger to Summit County; she spent a few seasons as a ski instructor at a local resort before pursuing adventures overseas with the Peace Corps and, later, in graduate school. After returning to Summit County – this time for good – Jess worked as the Sustainability Coordinator for Breckenridge Grand Vacations where she gained experience managing waste diversion programs and advocating for energy efficiency projects. As an adjunct faculty member, Jess teaches courses in sustainability at Colorado Mountain College. She has a B.A. in Spanish from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.A. in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development from American University. In her free time, you can find Jess trying to keep up with her ever growing reading list, or playing outside on either two feet, two wheels, or two planks.
