A life-long recycler and composter, Madelyn’s passion for sustainability led her to complete an Environmental Studies degree at the University of Michigan. From there, Madelyn worked at multiple organic farms in New Zealand and California before becoming the food access coordinator for a farmers’ market in San Francisco where she worked to support local farmers and ensure that the city’s most vulnerable populations had access to fresh, affordable produce. Madelyn is excited to serve as the Zero Waste Coordinator for HC3 so she can support the Summit County community as we work towards a more sustainable future. In her free time, Madelyn enjoys baking sourdough bread, gardening, Nordic skiing with her dog, and reminding her partner not to put coffee filters in the compost bucket.
