Breckenridge Alpine Garden Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Thursday, August 14 | 4:30-6 PM | Breckenridge Alpine Garden
Join HC3 and Summit County Garden Club for a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new low-water, native plant berm at the Breckenridge Alpine Garden.
The new berm was created to inspire and educate residents about the beauty and benefits of native, drought-tolerant landscaping. Designed to thrive in our mountain climate with minimal water, the garden features an array of native plants and pollinator-friendly species that provide color and texture to the gardens and feature educational signage to educate visitors on the types of plants within the garden.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends, family, and even a picnic blanket to enjoy the space. Local volunteers and staff will be on hand to answer questions and highlight the garden’s unique features. Light refreshments will be served.
Interested in turning your yard into a mountain oasis? Consider replacing unused grassy areas with drought-resistant plants that conserve water, support pollinators, and look beautiful all summer long. More information can be found here.
