Lisa is a Breckenridge native and a graduate of Summit High School. Lisa attended Colorado Mountain College before transferring to Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Global Environmental Sustainability. After graduation, Lisa explored her passion for environmental sustainability with Aurora Water Conservation and AmeriCorps NCCC in California. Through both experiences, Lisa grew to understand the effects of climate change on communities around the U.S. Her AmeriCorps team found immense satisfaction planting thousands of trees, creating trails, and building rain tanks, amongst other projects. It was instilled in her through these experiences that environmental sustainability and conservation are foundational to combating global climate change and creating a better world for the future.
She loves spending time in the outdoors mountain biking, hiking, and skiing the Colorado mountains. You can also find her at the local gym, creating art with watercolors, and cooking her favorite meals at home.
