Water in the West Series: Low Water Gardens

Wednesday, June 19 | 5:30-7:00 PM | Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant and Catina, Breckenridge

Join High Country Conservation Center and a panel of experts as we discuss the best way to replace a portion of your lawn with beautiful, low-water gardens. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast or want a professional to take the lead, we have you covered.

Topics of discussion will include: the benefits of replacing unused grassy areas with mountain-loving wildflowers and shrubs, considerations for removing grass and retrofitting irrigation, and low water garden designs, local compost and other resources

We’ll kick off with a panel discussion and then head to the Breckenridge Alpine Garden for casual Q&A and a first-hand look at plants that work well at altitude.

Panel of speakers will include: Jesse Yedwab of Great Pines Landscaping, Alicia Dunn of Summit County Garden Club, and Laura Lynch from the Town of Breckenridge.

This event is full so registration is no longer available.

Hosted in partnership with Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, Blue River Watershed Group and Friends of the Lower Blue River.
