Katie grew up in Kentucky but spent many summers with her family in Frisco, Colorado, where an early love of the mountains and the outdoors eventually shaped her career path. She joins the team as Waste Diversion Specialist, bringing a background in climate communication, business, and Spanish from Northwestern University, where she graduated in June 2025. Her undergraduate honors thesis focused on the energy transition in mountain communities, and her time working a season at Copper Mountain deepened her firsthand understanding of the people and places she now works to serve. She has traveled extensively, including study abroad experiences in Spain, Argentina, Chile, and Azerbaijan. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, biking, and snowboarding, and is currently learning the banjo (or at least making an attempt).
