The Water Connection Series: Where Our Water Comes From

Thursday, July 21st, 6 pm-7 pm in the Pine Room at the Summit County Main Library in Frisco

Snowmelt runoff into local streams provides the majority of water supply in Summit County. And when the Blue River flows beyond county boundaries, its waters continue downstream to feed the Colorado River, one of the most critical sources of water in the West. In this session, High Country Conservation Center Staff will help attendees understand where our water comes from and the impact drought and heat are having on this important resource. Learn about local conservation programs and water efficient rebates to help you become water smart.

This free presentation is the second in a 3-part series, The Water Connection. Hosted in partnership with the Summit County Library’s Summer Reading Program, “Oceans of Possibilities” HC3 staff will explore how water is connected to all aspects of sustainability.
