The Water Connection Series: Recycle Right for Cleaner Water

Thursday, June 9th, 6 pm-7 pm in the Pine Room at the Summit County Main Library in Frisco

The issue of plastic pollution extends well beyond our oceans. Studies have found tiny pieces of plastic – called microplastics – in the farthest reaches of Rocky Mountain National Park, not to mention plastic bags and other trash at trailheads in Summit County. Proper waste disposal helps protect our waterways, the source of drinking water for residents and downstream communities. In this workshop, High County Conservation Center Staff will share what happens to our trash and recycling. Get your waste questions answered and learn how to recycle the right way.

This free presentation is the first in a 3-part series, The Water Connection. Hosted in partnership with the Summit County Library’s Summer Reading Program, “Oceans of Possibilities” HC3 staff will explore how water is connected to all aspects of sustainability.

Part II: The Water Connection, Where Our Water Comes From July 21
Part III: The Water Connection, DIY Energy Efficiency for Your Home August 4
