The Water Connection Series: DIY Energy Efficiency For Your Home
Thursday, August 4th, 6 pm-7 pm in the Pine Room at the Summit County Main Library in Frisco
Did you know it takes up to 6,000 gallons of water to power a single light bulb? When you conserve energy, you’re also conserving water. In this workshop, High Country Conservation Center’s home energy efficiency expert, Taylor Magnus, will share simple fixes that will save energy – and water – and improve comfort in your home. Learn about caulking, weather stripping, faucet aerators, programmable thermostats, and more. All attendees will receive free LED lightbulbs and other energy efficiency goodies to install at home.
This free presentation is the third in a 3-part series, The Water Connection. Hosted in partnership with the Summit County Library’s Summer Reading Program, “Oceans of Possibilities” HC3 staff will explore how water is connected to all aspects of sustainability.
