Jordan (she/her) joined High Country Conservation Center (HC3) in 2025 as the Office and Program Coordinator. Growing up in Colorado’s Front Range, Jordan grew a love of nature early on that only deepened throughout college with exposure to mountain biking, backpacking, rock climbing, and skiing. What started as an interest in medicine led her to pursue a B.S. in Biology from the University of Colorado, Denver. Her devotion pivoted to environmental stewardship when a Glacial Geomorphology class emphasized the impacts of climate change, threatening the glaciers of her backyard as crucial water suppliers. As water is arguably the most precious resource in the world, Jordan’s interests lie in the convergence of science and conservation revolved around managing natural resources within watersheds. Prior to HC3, she worked in coral restoration in the Florida Keys Marine Sanctuary, honed zero-waste practices as Market Manager for Nederland Farmers Market, and most recently spent three months learning natural resource management directly under Forest Service scientists through geology, hydrology, and soil science. She is also a volunteer ski patroller at Copper Mountain. Jordan believes that the answer to the climate crisis is through community engagement, helping people build relatable connections with their environment, and small-scale action of the collective. She is excited to spread sustainability awareness throughout Summit County, setting an example of climate stewardship for other communities. Outside the office, you can find Jordan playing in White River National Forest and beyond, scuba diving, strumming on the mandolin, reading, and watercolor painting like her great-grandparents.
