NOT Accepted in this bin: cardboard, plastic/Tupperware, Styrofoam, egg cartons, coffee cup, or ice cream containers

Summit County Recycling Drop-Off Centers

The Breckenridge and Frisco recycling drop-off centers are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All materials recycled at the drop-off centers end up at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) located at the Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP, aka landfill) in Keystone, where they are sorted, baled, and shipped all over the United States to be made into new products. Materials accepted at the free drop-off centers include, mixed paper, No. 1 Pete plastic bottles, No. 2 HDPE plastic bottles, mixed metal containers, cardboard & paperboard, mixed glass, clear glass, batteries, and scrap metal. 3 Convenient Locations to Choose From!

Glass Recycling Stations in Breckenridge.These glass only recycling stations are depots for glass recycling in addition to the regular Breckenridge Recycling Center. This is more convenient by neighborhood and all glass must be sorted. Glass is not allowed in your curbside recycling collection.


  1. Entrance to the Stephen C. West Ice Arena.
  2. Entrance to the Kingdom Park Softball Fields (far south end of Breckenridge Recreation Center parking lot).
  3. Along the sidewalk south of the entrance to the Breckenridge Grand Vacations Community Center.
