The HC3 office is currently closed. Our staff are answering all office calls at 970-668-5703 Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm. We continue our work to protect our mountain community. We can be reached individually via email or at info@highcountryconservation.org. Updates to programs and services are posted below.

*SCRAP Reduced Hours of Operation* The Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP)

The SCRAP, located at 639 Landfill Rd in Keystone, will be reducing hours of operation effective March 18th.

New temporary hours:
Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM – 4 PM
Saturday-Sunday: CLOSED

All customers must have an account or use credit cards only. No cash sales. There are no changes currently to recycling operations. Questions related to the SCRAP, please contact them at 970-668-4290.

HC3 Program Updates

Annual Hard-to-Recycle Event is Postponed.

Please hang on to your household hazardous waste and electronic waste during the “Safer at Home” period. You will be able to take these items to the SCRAP for recycling in the future when social distancing requirements change.  Summit County hopes to reschedule the event in the fall.

Online applications are now open. Gardeners typically begin planting in June. Plots available at Nancy’s Garden in Frisco and the Breckenridge Community Garden.
